Internships
Camp Via WestCamp Via West internships are immersive, rewarding and educational experiences that allow students to apply their learnings and skills directly in our programs. The opportunity for direct services is supported and supervised alongside our seasoned professional staff who provide mentorship and training in their area of expertise. Internship opportunities at camp require that students commit to our Summer sessions and live onsite working alongside our staff. We welcome pre-internship students looking to gain more experience in preparation for their formal placements as well as current internship students looking to complete the educational requirement of their program. Internships are seasonal at Camp Via West and run for the duration of our camp session.

Recreation Therapy Internship (practicum included)
At Camp Via west we provide an opportunity for Recreation Therapy students to complete their practicum and internship. This is a great opportunity for students to gain experience and exposure around curriculum planning and development, adaptations to programs to meet camper needs, opportunity to work with a variety of disabilities, ages and provide individualized support, as well as assessments.
